TVS Racing creates a new top speed record of 215.9km/hr in the first round of 2023 TVS Asia One Make Championship

With a 40-year heritage of racing, TVS Racing, the flagbearer of One Make Championship in India rung in the 2nd edition of TVS Asia One Make Championship 2023 in a thrilling manner by breaking its last year records at the Chang International Circuit, Thailand. Further solidifying its position as India’s leading racing team in the two-wheeler motorsports arena, TVS Racing created a new top speed record of 215.9 km/hr in the first round of the global championship that happens on the side lines of ARRC. 

Replicating its domestic record, and continuing its international success after the first-ever TVS Asia One Make Championship (OMC) in 2022, TVS Motor returned with the second edition of the championship with more vigour and determination to set benchmark. With a rich history and undisputed leadership in two-wheeler motorsports, TVS Racing has been instrumental in flourishing the racing performance culture and engineering the TVS Apache series through the company’s “Track to Road” philosophy.  TVS Apache recently crossed its five million global sales milestone, making it the fastest growing premium motorcycle, in line with the product prowess and trust amidst customers

  • TVS Asia OMC RR 310 based on the company’s flagship motorcycle TVS Apache RR 310 has broken its previous top speed record of 211.2 km/hr, clocking 215.9 km/hr in the first round of the championship
  • With this feat, TVS Racing also managed to set a new lap timing at 1:49:742, breaking its previous 1:50.850 record by 1.1 secs
  • For the 2023 season, TVS Asia OMC RR 310 churns out a higher power output for better performance
  • The race bike now gets improved ECU calibration and gear ratios
  • The race bikes are fitted with customised suspension set up basis individual rider feedback
  • The rider squad for the 2023 season consists of 14 racers from 7 countries – India, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan
  • Vorapong Malahuan took the top spot in both race 1 and race 2
  • Indian riders K Y Ahamed and Jagan Kumar made a big progression in this round and finished in top 10. While Jagan finished at P5, Ahamed sealed P8 in the first round.
