Young karting talent Arshi delivered an impressive performance during the opening round of the Indian National Karting Championship (INKC) 2026 in Coimbatore, showcasing exceptional speed and racecraft in her debut weekend competing in the highly competitive Mini Max category.
Despite the official results not fully reflecting her on-track performances, Arshi consistently ran at the front throughout the weekend and emerged as one of the standout performers of the opening round.
Arshi began her campaign by securing an impressive P3 in Qualifying, immediately establishing herself as a contender. She followed this up with a strong drive to finish P2 in Heat 1, before crossing the line in P3 during Heat 2. Unfortunately, a post-race penalty relegated her to P8 after a faulty front bumper clip caused the bumper to detach despite there being no contact during the race.
The challenges continued in the Pre-Final, where Arshi once again demonstrated her pace by finishing P2 on track, only to be classified P4 due to the same bumper issue. In the Final, she produced another outstanding performance to cross the line in P2, but a penalty ultimately dropped her to P5 in the official classification.

- Qualifying: P3
- Heat 1: P2
- Heat 2: P3 on track (classified P8 after penalty)
- Pre-Final: P2 on track (classified P4 after penalty)
- Final: P2 on track (classified P5 after penalty)
Despite the setbacks, Arshi and her team leave the opening round encouraged by the remarkable pace displayed throughout the weekend.
“The official results do not accurately represent the pace we showed on track. While the penalties were unfortunate, especially those resulting from a faulty bumper clip, we are extremely encouraged by our competitiveness in our first weekend in the Mini Max category. This performance gives us tremendous confidence heading into the remainder of the season,” the team stated.
With strong race pace, consistency, and podium-contending speed already evident in her first outing, Arshi now looks ahead to the upcoming rounds of the Indian National Karting Championship with optimism and determination to convert her performance into results.
