Fresh from her Win in Dubai last Sunday, rising Indian Karting Star Atiqa Mir narrowly missed on a Final Win in Round 4.1 of Champions of the Future Academy in Slovakia. Atiqa finished just 0.32 seconds behind the Winner in a nail biting finish. Starting the Final in P5 Atiqa ran in 2nd place and was on course for a win but a tough battle in the closing laps meant she had to settle for 4th place. With this performance Atiqa has once again proven her incredible talent and dedication going up against the best international grid with equal equipment for all drivers and a focus on natural talent of the driver. Supported by F1 Academy and AKCEL GP Atiqa made her mark as the top female driver in the world in Mini category by becoming the highest female finisher in 2025 in this championship in the world. Atiqa also became the first ever Indian to finish in Top 4 in this championship in the Mini Overall category.

Atiqa commented after the race, “ Im happy and sad at the same time. I was so close to the Win and the podium but happy at the same time with my progress and performance against this top European Grid. Its nice to see all the hard work and training paying off. I will hope to perform even better next time”

Atiqas father and India’s first National Karting Champion and Formula Asia Vice Champion commented, “ An incredible drive by Atiqa against this quality of drivers. Her hard work is beginning to pay off now. She along with her team of coaches, trainers and mechanic worked incredibly hard to achieve this result. Atiqa is probably the least experienced on the grid and yet is able to give such performances. We will keep working hard to improve her performances”

Atiqa had made history last year in this championship as the first Indian to get a podium by getting 3rd place in the Mini Under 10 category at Round 6 in Al AForsan, Abu Dhabi.
